Rugs and Dogs

So it's mud season.

We don't have carpets in our current house - recently moved in - so it's easy to clean but I am desperate for some rugs and the warm, homeliness they bring.

I know my 4 dogs will probably ruin any rugs we get but I was thinking something like this or perhaps this could work without me getting angsty about the dogs' mess from outside coming in?

And perhaps there's a kind of protective spray I could use?

Has anyone found a rug + dog combination that just doesn't look knackered after a while?

I have two big fluffy mud magnets and I’ve found flat weave the way to go.
I managed to get a couple that fit in the washing machine for less than £100 which has been a god send.

Anything with a pile sticks hair to it, long pile was a disaster. I also would avoid cream speaking from experience.

Good luck!!

I wouldn't pay £100+ for a light coloured rug in Winter when you have 4 dogs. It won't last a week Grin
