Mine have their 'proper' or 'Sunday' names but tend to be called by their nicknames, I have a Hector who is Poop or Boy and Hilde who is Pup-pup or Puppy even though she is 5.

DramaAlpaca · 23/11/2019 19:52

Mine was called something unprintable last night because he'd rolled in fox poo & got it all over his neck. Urrgh.

Makesmilingyourbesthobby · 23/11/2019 19:54

William

cantthinkofanythingwitty · 23/11/2019 19:57

MissShapesMissStakes · 23/11/2019 19:57

Ours is a Ted but for some reason my kids call him Dougie or Dougger (no idea how they imagine that’s spelt)

MissShapesMissStakes · 23/11/2019 19:58

But I would have liked to call him Falcor

Winterdaysarehere · 23/11/2019 20:00

Maybe a pic would provide us with inspiration op

..

doublebarrellednurse · 23/11/2019 20:01

Luna, aka lunatic, loony, loopy, lunakins and many other nicknames Grin

We had no idea we'd chosen a "popular" name till sat in the vets for her 2nd jabs with 4 other Luna's. She is a rescue pup but was young enough when brought home that we could rename her.

IratusCats · 23/11/2019 21:17

Minnie (goes by Min, Mins)
Baloo (goes by Baloo boo)
When new pup joins he's being called Hercules (will probably shorten to Herc)

Neighneigh · 23/11/2019 21:29

Twatdog (not his kennel club name)

SoundofSilence · 23/11/2019 21:31

Currently 'You arsehole' for many and varied reasons.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 23/11/2019 21:31

Jeremy and Lucius/Lucy for short

Winterdaysarehere · 23/11/2019 21:32

Grin

SilverOtter · 23/11/2019 21:33

Emmi

RanchoRelaxo · 23/11/2019 21:33

My future dog (I will have one someday) is called Coco

HainaultViaNewburyPark · 23/11/2019 21:34

Juniper. Which has been shortened to Ginny (via Gin-Gin).

PragmaticWench · 23/11/2019 21:36

We've recently got DDog number two and I've really enjoyed naming both of them with names you wouldn't give a child. You can be really adventurous! We've always found two syllables easier to call than one or three, but go with something you love.

Iwillbemrsminty · 23/11/2019 21:37

Not ours but in laws, Flynn. He's a golden retriever Grin aaah here he is! He gets called Flynnster so not shortened rather lengthened Confused
