We're fostering an 8ish month old rescue dog whose chances of being adoptable would increase if we can solve his car sickness. He recently travelled from Europe in a truck so presume there's a lot of stress attached to the motion for him.
He can manage 5 min journey to local park for walk but has vomited on other longer journeys so far.
He's reluctant to get into car so has to be lifted into back seat. Obviously rewards with food treats isn't an option.
Are frequent short journeys associated with a nice walk the right way to go?
Any other tips gratefully received.
