Nothing, I stick a few poo bags in my pocket, clip the lead to my dog and then go.

Door key and (sometimes phone, if I take it) in my other pocket.

Barking Bags are another purpose made brand.

Dangerfloof · 05/11/2019 20:07

Ooh I like the barking bags.
Currently if a long woods walk I use a rucksack. Carry a small bucket, water bottles, lobber, balls, poo bags, treats,
If a quick park run I have a day pack that holds poo bags and two balls only. I carry the lobber, and leads go round my neck.
Phone and keys in a jacket shorts or jeans pocket.

Poo bags and phone in pocket, key on a lanyard round my neck and off we go!

BrokenWing · 05/11/2019 20:52

Phone in jeans back pocket, poo bags in other back pocket with a couple of sheets of kitchen roll.

Keys in front jeans pocket. Gloves in one jacket pocket double as a tissue when worn 🤣, treats in other pocket. Carry ball. When off lead, I put the lead round my shoulders/neck.

I wouldn't want to carry anything else/pack a bag just for dog walking, prefer to travel light. I've never seen another dog walker (over the fields/woods we walk) with a bag.

I don’t own a dog and was fascinated to read about such a thing as a “dog walking bag”.
I assumed it was some kind of bag that went round the dog- possibly to catch the shit - and was vastly disappointed to find you all just discussing handbags! Grin

With the right harness you can get saddle packs to attach. I feel a bit like expecting the dog to carry too much so I've not done it.

I had this, but got ordinary bumbag at the moment.

Jacket pockets! Poo bag roll on the lead but also spares in every pocket, treats in a pocket with clicker, phone and keys in a pocket.

Think I just carry phone and keys in my hand in summer, can't fully remember! We take the dog in the car to nice places to walk, so there's probably stuff that gets left in the car that ive forgotten about

Coat with big pockets, carry ball thrower

ThrilledToTiddlyBits · 09/11/2019 22:46

I have this one from Amazon. Can wear cross body, round the waist like a bum bag or use the clip onto your belt loop. Water resistant, lots of separate pockets and easily holds everything I need for a walk. Wouldn't be without it and my DDog definitely recognises me getting it off the hook means walkies Grin

I wear a coat , poo bags and spare ball in one pocket , keys , phone and inhaler in another . I carry the ball thrower with one ball in it and dog carries the other spare ball . In the summer I use a very small mountain warehouse x body pouch and the pockets of whatever shorts / dress I’m wearing

Thats pretty much it for me too. Everything in pockets. I can't be bothered about carrying a bag

maternityleavequestion · 10/11/2019 03:31

I have a tiny running belt for single front door key & roll of biodegradable poo bags.
Phone in my hand.
Can't be doing with things banging around in my pockets (I have to power walk to keep up with pooch) or carrying my life's junk around with me (I don't use a handbag either - just use my phone for payments, keys and lipsalve and I'm good to go. My posture and fitness (I can walk much faster) has improved immeasurably!

DramaAlpaca · 10/11/2019 03:35

I also have springers. I just wear a coat with lots of pockets. A bag isn't necessary, it would just get in the way.
