Dog eating green tomatoes - not good!

Just thought I'd share this as we've finally taken down our old tomato plants and the puppy is scavenging some dropped green toms.

They're not agreeing with him and he's puking and feeling very sorry for himself, so I do some research and yes apparently they are toxic.

Emptying his stomach and a warm nap, 8 hours later he's back to himself, but just be warned.
Have made DCs go out and compost all the remaining rotten tomatoes ha ha ha ha

Ohhhh that's useful, thankyou. My puppy has a bit of a habit of stealing the green tomatoes, bringing them up the stairs, dropping them and chasing them down, and repeat. I'll clear the plant and sidestep that risk.

The leaves and stems of the plants as well as the green fruit is very bad for dogs.
