Dog sneezing.

My 2 year old working cocker spaniel has started sneezing a lot ! He seems perfectly fine in every other way - energetic on his walks, eating well etc. I'm very worried as we are due to go on our first foreign holidays in years on saturday and he is meant to be going to a dog boarder. Should we get him to a vet to get him checked out ?

I took mine to the vets in similar circumstances as he was sneezing for a few weeks with discharge.

I was worried he had something stuck up there but we decided to treat as an allergy in the first instance as the discharge was both sides and clear but if it didn't clear up then the next plan would have been sedation to check for foreign body inside. As it turned out it's an allergy with my dog.

Personally I would take to vets quickly with the fact that you are going on holiday soon simply so I could know whether it was something to worry about or not. We have had several urgent visits prior to holidays but always managed to get things under control or just reassurance before we went away.

When my cocker does this it's a grass seed. I'd take to the vets asap

notmytea - Did your cocker have to have an endoscope to diagnose that ? we have just been to the vets and he has been prescribed an anti-inflammatory, the vet can't rule out a foreign object without an endoscope.
