Reputable rescue centres in Greater Manchester. Any to avoid?

Hi, in the new year, we are looking to adopt a dog from a rescue centre.

We live in the Greater Manchester area, so Manchester dogs home, Bleakholt, and Mcr Dogs Trust are on our list, but what about any rescue centres that are small but reputable?

Also, are there any to avoid?
TIA 💐💐

Windyways is one in Cheshire. There is also a greyhound rescue in kidsgrove Cheshire . Those are the only 2 I know of

Second Windyway near Macclesfield - amazing place, family run and genuine. We had a family dog from there (interesting character but don’t let that put you off) and they do great work.
