Long line for recall

We want to use a long line to help train our 5 month old border terrier puppy with his recall. I’m undecided between the 10m and 15m. Is there a recommended length to start on the longer leads? Thanks for any info!

We use 15 metres but is adjustable.. they're not exactly easy to use however. 10 metres would be easier to manage I guess

Thanks ellisisland, yes this is what I’m worried about. Think I’m underestimating how hard they are to use! I’ll start shorter 🙂

Yes 10m is long enough.

I saw someone with one that was made out of the same sort of stuff as IKea bags the other day and I wished I’d had a similar one as mine is fabric and it weighs so much once it gets wet.

Oh that’s interesting MarigoldGlove. I’ll have a look what’s about.

biothane bert does great long lines that do not get wet and heavy, easy to wipe clean etc

Thanks Jouska, will have a look at those
