I thought they didn’t let rescue dogs go to flats where the owners work full time

Boris and Carrie have adopted a rescue puppy. Apparently 15 weeks and already housetrained

I thought rescue centres weren’t keen on flat dwelling full time employed? (With undisclosed number of children of various ages)

Flats are fine as long as there is a routine to let them out to toilet.

Full time employed depends on how long they are away from the house, do they often work from home, opportunity to pop back at lunchtime, are there other people able to look after the dog etc

Some people really do scrape the barrel at what to complain about..

Be realistic - they're going to have a dog walker, someone popping in as many times as needed during the day to see to the dog during the day.
Flats aren't a blanket no to a rescue providing someone goes in to see to the dog or someone is home part of the day. Nice try on the whinge though

It's not like they can't afford a dog walker and other staff.

I would wonder when Boris would have time to take care of a puppy with everything going on and a potential general election on top.

I know you can get dog walkers and doggy day care but if your schedule is as hectic as theirs is likely to be then it kind of defeats the point of having a pet.

What does Carrie do? PR? Does she actually work full time?

I don't know what breed their rescue is but a lot of it is down to this as well. More likely to get a Bichon rescue in a flat than a GSD?

weeblueberry Jack Russell. Surrendered to rescue by breeder due to misaligned jaw. But obviously BJ is the devil so that doesn't matter

I was being slightly tongue in cheek about it.

At least he is raising some awareness and although o am vehemently the opposite side of the political spectrum; I do think animal lovers are preferable to non-animal people in responsible positions (-and an official dog makes for a much better workplace)

Nothing wrong with a dog in a flat, and rescues will home to full-time workers if there's a plan in place.

He is the real victim here. A 12 year old cat forced to share his luxury pad with a young Jack Fookin' Russell (as they are known in this house).
