Can anyone recommend a good dog rescue in or near Hampshire?

Following on from all the helpful advice on my previous thread about introducing a dog to a cat household, I have now started looking at websites and facebook pages for rescues. Its so hard because I have nothing to go on, I need to find somewhere that really knows their dogs so that we end up with the right dog for our family set up. Its such a big commitment and as a potential first time dog owner I am completely dependent on the rescue knowing their stuff.
Any recommendations for a decent dog rescue in or near Hampshire would be very gratefully received, thank you.

Happy Dogs in Ringwood. Waggy Tails and Margaret Green are in Dorset but might rehome in Hants. Do you have Dogs Trust near you.

Thank you for the speedy replies. The nearest dogs trust to us is Shoreham which is about an hour's drive, so we could go there but was wondering if there was anywhere closer.

Thank you. Google has brought these up, I was just wondering (maybe a bit of a long shot) if anyone could personally recommend a rescue. I appreciate the repliesSmile

I have heard good things about Second Chance Rescue which is near to Southampton, but no personal experience I’m afraid.
