Suddenly urinating in the house?

3.5yr old Yorkshire Terrier. Has never urinated or poo’d in the house before. In the last week has has poo’d twice and just now urinated upstairs.

He’s a lovely dog, no issues with behaviour or anything like this before. Had a clean bill of health from the vets around two weeks ago.

The only thing I can think of is that my mums 1yr old cocker spaniel stayed for two nights a week ago and once urinated in our bedroom.

Could our dog learned that behaviour from my mums dog? Really?

I should mention that our dog urinated/poo’d in the loft bedroom and my mums dog in our bedroom on the first floor.

Hope this makes sense...

I would think that's it, can you get the carpets professionally cleaned? If they smell wee they'll want to scent Mark it!
