Gizzmo - my current she looked like a gremlin when she was a pup was named jess before i rescued
floyd (after pink floyd he was very young hes mother rejected the pups and not much fur so very pink too)
nikta (rescue all ready re-named before we got her)
shadow (all gray and disapered in dark places)

DDDDdog (am just a teeny bit over-attached) is Poppy - we thought it was unusual when we called her that 9 years ago, only to find every other female dog we come across is also a Poppy.

But, you're wanting male dogs.
Our male rescue we named Rufus, we tend to call him Roo a lot. DD1 and I wanted to call him Gatsby and I still really like it but DH wasn't keen.

I had a Mungo as a child which my parents were dreadfully embarrassed by (there was a children's TV programme called Mary Mungo and Midge) but it now sounds quite cool!
