Suddenly barking tonight - please help!

The puppy’s routine for the last 3 weeks has been lazing with us for a couple of hours in the evening, out for final wee at 11ish and then crate.

Tonight when i’ve gone to put her in her crate she’s started barking... she won’t settle and I can’t leave her because I don’t (a) want her to be scared or (b) wake the neighbours/children.

Nothing is different!!

I don’t know what to do. Any advice much appreciated!

Is there something different in the set up? Blinds open and can see something, any slight change in routine at all?

Maybe a slightly shorter walk than usual?
My mum is staying over, but we have visitors every day and so I’m not sure if that would bother her?
I sprayed DeepHeat on my daughter about 2 hours before she slept... maybe she could still smell that? I’m not sure how long it hangs around?
Do you think it could be something that small that would knock her out of her routine?

Possibly. Deep heat smell makes me crazy could it be that? I guess if she calms down as normal tonight then you know it was just a one off. Fingers crossed.
