I’m after a soft toy that doesn’t have a squeaker for pup that’s coming soon. All the shops iv been in they all squeak. Has anyone seen one??

So every time he wakes up in the night I take him out in case he needs a wee? Breeder reckons if I take him late at night and early morning he’ll be ok but I’d rather prepare for the worst!

Mine needed to pee in the night and needed to poo very early (4-5am).

I would take him out when he stired or cried, no fuss, no talking etc for a quick toilet break then straight back in the crate. I did this each time as I never wanted him to think toileting in the crate was ok and I didn't use puppy pads either for that reason. I once slept through and he peeded the crate so I know he couldn't hold it all night when he was very little.

Some people would leave them. I preferred to take out with no fuss so night was sleeping or peeing but nothing else.

Our dog has an old toy that is intended for human use. No squeaker means she has no desire to rip
This one apart. Check for holes and you will soon learn the temperament of your dog
We can't give our dog squeaky toys usually, and some she can't even squeak herself due to her size. A bit bigger than a chihuahua
We have a large toy with thick fabric and it's her favourite toy as she had it for the same reason as a puppy so she has no intent to rip this toy

mook is it a baby toy?

He’s a mini dachshund so small, and I’m worried about losing him in the dark in the garden at 2am Grin he can’t get anywhere but can see it ending in a game of cat and mouse me swearing under my breath trying to dig him out from under the trampoline in my pjs Grin

Not that I know of
Ours is a jack cross but as the runt she never grew huge so even at 2 she's not huge. She's a big chewer and rips other toys apart but once ripped she doesn't fuss about the stuffing and we keep the in stuffed toys for her still.
I'll see if I can find what she has online as an example

It's very similar to this if not the same (ours is old and faded so hard to tell) we play gently tug of war with this and no problems with the eyes coming lose - they are scratched as anything but sturdy in there as it's a toy intended for children I guess it has to be safe?

@Inbedbynine our two love rope toys and antlers. With soft toys they don't seem to last long and I have a steady stream of them in the cupboard for repair at any one time.

The one you that is lasting (and has been played with again tonight) is one that it material and you place an empty plastic water bottle in it. I can't seem to find one like it.

I have seen people make them from old socks Smile
