How do you pick up diarrhoea in public?

Gave my boy a couple of lamb chops on Saturday night as a treat and they did not agree with him AT ALL. Took him out 3 times last night!

I hose the puddles down with a hose at home but am about to take him on a quick walk and not sure what to do.

Was thinking of taking a squirty bottle but I would probably need to take a 1 lr bottle atleast. If not 2.

Have been know to drive back with a bucket of water before when caught out with this but yes take water and walk On the lead so you know where it is 🤮

If I am in a suitable place like a forest I bury it by brushing soil over the top with my foot. If I can't do that but still in the forest I bury it by effectively putting fern or other foliage on top. Anyone standing on it would then not get any poo on them at all.

If I am not in a forest type place I would take tissues/kitchen towel so I could 'pick it up' using a poo bag like normal poo. Then any remaining can be washed away using a bottle of water.

Depending on how far away from the house, go back with a big bottle of water and try and disperse it as best as possible or try and cover it up with leaves and moss.

Take kitchen roll with you, you'll be able to get most of it. And encourage him to somewhere grassy rather than pavements

I’m not a dog owner but was going to suggest a big bottle of water. You could op some disinfectant in it to be extra citizenly Good luck!

That should have been Friday night. Yesterday DH and I took him to a secluded forest and covered it up with soil. Unfortunately, today the only place I can walk him is a fairly busy field/wooded area.

My boy does have a sensitive stomach so I deal with this a lot but can normally be more strategic with where I walk him.

Take lots of kitchen towels and poo bags. Turn poo bag inside out like you would do normally. Place kitchen towel over poo and pick up like a normal poo. You will need to do this a few times to get most of it up hence having lots of them with you. Finally rub the last bits with the kitchen towel to get it up (make sure you have good quality poo bags before you do this as rubbish ones split). Rinse the ground with water before finding a bloody big bin for all your used bags.
