Meet my new dog

Hi weve had mollie now for 10 days. Shes 18 months old and from romania. Shes a bit anxious and we are having trouble with toilet training as she has decided she prefers going in the house 😬

Anyone got experience with a romanian dog?

Rommie dogs can be a bit anxious, they have been through a lot and a massive change coming over here so just give her lots of time and space.

She's lovely. I used to have a Greek dog (collie cross type) and they are similar independent souls (also clever). Just be very careful that she doesn't get out by herself (they are quite often Houdinis) as this happens a lot with overseas/Romanian rescues and they are very hard to recapture - unlike UK dogs, they know perfectly well that they can manage on their own out there (but they reckon without busy roads and railways). Not meaning to alarm you, but it does often happen, especially when they are new arrivals in their forever home.

What an absolute beauty. Sorry never had a Romanian dog but my boy was very anxious when we first got him - definitely improved over time (and with plenty of roast chicken). Good luck!
