My dogs bum - is it an age thing?

My lovely lab is 13 years old. We've had her for 3 years (rspca) and since I've had her I've noticed if she was to eat any diary then she wet farts so we strictly avoid that!
But for the past few weeks she leaves a poo smear when she gets up, it happens everyday no matter what food she eats. Is it an age thing?
We have a little baby who's not yet crawling but I'm dreading him crawling in anything like that and I try and check everywhere she's been to clean up possible marks.

I'm wondering if it's just an age thing??

Lots of dogs are lactose intolerant, which probably explains the dairy thing.

The poo issue could be age related, or it could be a reasonably resolvable issue. It's worth a trip to the vet to see what they say.

Take her to the vet, we've never had that with any of our old labs, I definitely don't think it's a normal age thing.

We had that with our 5 year old lab last year, leaving poo stamps on the carpet when sitting.

He had a health check booked anyway so mentioned to vet and they couldn't see anything wrong but emptied his anal glands just incase and it stopped happening.
