Travel sick puppy advice

We are planning on going camping next weekend and will have quite a long journey there. Our 6 month old puppy gets quite travel sick, so I am wondering if anyone have any tips on how to make the journey more comfortable for her (and us as she will need to be in the back of the car!)
I will take her for a long walk before we set off and have water available and we will take regular stops. I have heard it's better not to feed her before the journey. Is there anything else I can do? Not sure if travel sickness medication is available from the vets etc.

Cerenia is good medication for travel sickness in dogs (expensive but usually very effective) It can help to break the cycle of car = sickness in dogs .

You can use sturgeon on dogs but in my experience Cerenia seems to have a more lasting effect and is better tolerated

The vet quoted £64 for travel sickness tablets! I might investigate the cheaper options from Pets at Home etc

I wouldn’t. Can you get a prescription and get the recommended medication cheaper online?
