Best bedding to buy for new puppy

Our puppy is arriving in a few weeks and after a browse online I am a little overwhelmed with all the choice in puppy / dog items.

He'll be crated, so do we need just a crate pad and blanket, or is a puppy bed better? And if so, do you have any recommendations for a specific bed that is good? (Happy enough to buy a bigger one once he's grown).

Recommendations for puppy toys and collars / leads much appreciated also! Thanks in advance.

Small, light, cheap. They grow out of them bonkers fast.I used a little red dingo collar and lead for battendog for the first few weeks.

I still have it - I could just about get it round his back leg now

I use cheap fleece blankets. They wash and dry so quickly, plus poo peels off them easily unlike vet bed...
