My gorgeous show cocker right this minute on the deck at our van. The pupppy stage was very hard but post 12 months I wouldn't be without him he is my shadow and squabbles with the kids for my affection!

Black one is Simon Sossij. He's a 14 week old jack Russell x dachshund

Incrediblysad - I say this in a tiny whisper given the opprobrium heaped on them on MN but Mimbledog is a cockerpoo. His dad was a stunner of a red poodle, his mum was a beautiful white and brown working cocker and he has come out much more working cocker than poo.

Mimble wow, he doesn’t look like a cockerpoo, but I guess they do vary, a lot. He is absolutely gorgeous. Intelligent & refined but at the same time just that perfect amount of ‘scruffy’ 🤣 I thought he might have been a breed I hadn’t heard of (like the Spanish Water Dog I only just found out about).

I used to have cocker spaniels (show, but didn’t show them) and as much as I love most dogs, it’s still spaniels that ‘feel right’, if I could clone *MumbleDog’ I would and all talk of not being able to have a dog right now would be forgotten!

That’s the only thing with cockerpoos, not knowing exactly how they’ll turn out!

You and Marmite (whose Lucy is gorgeous!) just need to ignore the anti CP posts. They’re as real as any other dog.

The whole breeding thing is controversial and I can argue it in both directions, but it doesn’t need to be brought up every time a CP is mentioned, it upsets & alienates people and it’s unnecessary. Time & place.

Cockerpoos are lovely dogs, they’re a particularly good dog for people who like a bit of suspense...feed it & see what it grows into!🤣 and you both got very different, but gorgeous dogs.

Thank you, Incredibly - currently not the love of my life having just dug up an entire planter in the garden and scattered soil from here to kingdom come but thank you, yes, it's very much a case of feeding and seeing how they come out with cockerpoos though he is the only one of many I know who has come out shaggy rather than curly, for which we love him almost more.

Incredibly, my DSisi had a Spanish water Dog. There are so many in the rescues in Spain.

This is also Hugo, also rescued from Spain. He's a 8 month old Bodeguereo puppy probably crossed with something else. He has a compulsion to lick EVERYTHING.

*DSis has a Spanish Water Dog I mean.

OMG spam how does he fit that tongue in his mouth?!😳. It doesn’t look real! He looks like he’s sizing up the next bit of trouble he can get into! Re Spanish Water dogs, It wasn’t until I asked about a dog the other day and I actually thought she was joking but when I looked it up...they’re real and cute!

marmite I really hope the treatment is nearly done and you’re feeling good soon. Lots of adventures to be had with Lucy x. Sadly a good friend just lost her cavalier called Lucy, it’s nice to have another Lucy dog.

Darty. Noooo, tell her she’s not allowed to grow out of snuggles, totally against the rules. One of my dogs liked being carried on my hip like a child. She was my life that wee girl.

Mimble it was the shaggy/straight hair that make me wonder what he was crossed with. It’s a sort of Irish Wolfhound look. As for the garden shenanigans, I’d like to say they grow out of it, but...😖🤣. It like with kids, there’s a really good reason they’re bloody cute!
