GuacDog seems distinctly bored with me this afternoon as I work from home.

So far today our activities have been

  • 40 minute walk through field including off lead zooming and playing ball
  • Had a frozen carrot
  • 15 minutes round the block at lunch
  • Filled his holey ball with hidden treats in old socks

Plus going in and out the garden, plenty of head scratches, barking at an invisible cat etc, mainly napping in a patch of sun.

I'm now getting sad face and sighing so I'm clearly not interesting enough OR he wants an extra meal.

What are your dogs up to?

I have 3 that I am feeling very sorry for! I have 2 and an puppy sitting a 3rd. The 2 pups are still waiting for their 2nd vaccinations and my adult dog had surgery and now an infection so none of them can be walked at the moment! Roll on a week on saturday!

SpamChaudFroid · 10/04/2019 20:45

Mine's been "helping" me around the house. He can't believe I'd rather do dusting than play with him, every time I've knelt down, he's shoved one of his toys in the back of my neck.

He had a pizzle stick when he got in from his walk, he loves them! He spends about 10 mins throwing it in the air, catching it, rolling on it, snapping at it, then eventually settles down to simultaneously cry and chew it.

he's such a little weirdo! Grin

JaneEyre07 · 10/04/2019 20:50

We had a lovely walk this morning, they have been sunbathing on the patio, chasing squirrels up and down the garden fence, had a few mad moments of zoomies and are now snoring wedged between the sofa and radiator.

What a life.

jellyshoeswithdiamonds · 10/04/2019 20:57

Having the outside of the house painted so tied to making coffee and bacon butties for my painter.

Managed to get out to do a few beach walks to keep ddog happy though.

He's had a bath today due to rolling in god knows what at the beach. He's sleeping now on the sofa.

Mine had one lovely walk and one not so lovely. But that was human error.
Both now cuddled up to DD who has broken 3 fingers after being a hormonal twit earlier. They are the best medicine and they know she will sneak them cheese before she goes to bed in a bit.

Tumbleweed101 · 11/04/2019 19:44

Puppy visited the beach for first time :).

My ddog enjoyed her first cone free day after having to wear it for a fortnight.
Recovering from cancer!

weaselwords · 11/04/2019 22:06

One of my dogs, who was staring at me the other day, is at the emergency vet having had her spleen out and the other is lying at my feet, looking lonely and sad. My poor dogs 🙁

ChestyNut · 13/04/2019 10:29

Chestypup is currently snoozing on the sofa as got her up at 6 am to go out to pee to avoid “parcels” in the kitchen.

Her plans include play session for an hour at the training centre followed by training class 2hours later.
Interspersed with trips into the garden to chew the fence and pick up every sodding stone she can find Angry

I’m hoping she’ll end the day with snoozing on my chest watching a film rather than the squeaky ball at a million decibels, scratch at the door, outside, inside, outside, Bitey barkey fling my toys around the room episodes she likes to have when I’m ready to settle down Grin

nrpmum · 14/04/2019 09:30

Both currently barking at nothing. In about 20 minutes DDG1 and I are going for a 3 mile walk, then DDG2 and I are going to Grandma's for our usual Sunday lunch. Once DH is home we'll walk them up the field so they can have a play.

nrpmum · 18/04/2019 18:41

Eldest pup pup has allergies and is eye itching

SarcasticMrKnowItAll · 18/04/2019 18:45

Barking at the sky 🙄

joystir59 · 21/04/2019 07:01

Long walk in the woods this morning then flaked panting on the verandah in the sunshine then out for walk along the seafront but not the beach cos tide right in, ball play on the grass then into the pub to be cooed over by lots of dog lovers. DD very very good sleeping at our feet so we could enjoy a second drink in peace before long tiddly walk home. Chicken and veg dinner for the dog then waiting for us to go to bed at the end of lovely day.

Walney · 21/04/2019 16:16

Long walk and now sleeping

Ddog is a bit hot, he's hiding in a den he has made under a bush. Next doors dd has her paddling pool out so he will probably venture around there shortly (fence is porous) for a dip, currently their dog is lying on my deckchair avoiding the pool and water pistols

Driving me up the wall and digging a new eurostar tunnel in the garden

Nettleskeins · 21/04/2019 18:53

today pup had a lovely play with three other dogs of varying ages in the local small park, at 10am, when none of the Easter families were yet about. Then he slept most of the day, chilled in the garden, kept tipping his water out on the grass (most perplexing). He has just been on a very long and hot pavement walk )we stayed on the shady side mostly, and came back by bus)finishing in a beautiful park where it was all a bit too busy, picnics everywhere and a lot of dogs being walked by families who were too busy to play Sad..well just wanted to keep walking rather than meet other dogs. Remind me that walking in the early morning or in the week is much the best...

Nettleskeins · 21/04/2019 18:54

dd has also taught him some tricks today, and he is racing around with a squeaky duck, rather than go to bed (which is imminent)

Rumbletum2 · 21/04/2019 18:58

DDog2 - has been to the seaside with us, had a run on the beach, shared our fish and chips and had a battered sausage to himself and is now spark out on the sofa, emitting the occasional sausage fart.

DDog1 (much older, can’t cope with crowds or heat) has just had her evening walk and is stretched out on the cool kitchen floor.

AvocadosBeforeMortgages · 21/04/2019 20:18

PestDog crawled out of bed at about 9.30am and then went for a sunbathing nap in the garden, using my grow bags as a pillow Hmm

Took him for a walk at lunchtime for about 3 hours and he went swimming in the river. He did think it was too hot to do anything more than polite bum sniffing with other dogs. Came back and went for some peace and quiet while I did the garden.

nrpmum · 22/04/2019 12:21

My two had their walks early, one is now sunbathing in the back garden, and the other is being a pest in the lounge 😂

fleshmarketclose · 22/04/2019 16:23

We went out on the trails this morning then adult ds and dd came for breakfast so Bella and ds had their lovefest (she absolutely loves him) as per usual. She has been supervising me pegging out the washing and keeping a close eye on the fence just in case neighbour dares to go in his garden. Snoozed much of the afternoon but expect her to start pestering within an hour for her next walk (she has a very good internal clock) then it will be more food and general mooching before she takes herself off to bed around 8pm.

IAmAlwaysLikeThis · 29/05/2019 02:30

He's having a nice lie down on the sofa, having ripped up a toilet roll tube filled with treats. My husband and I are both working from home today, so he gets a bit tired and needs to sleep otherwise all the attention gets to him.

We're going to go on a walk in an hour or so.
