Hi folks.

Re-homed a male dog just before Christmas as a new playmate for my girl dog who had just lost her playmate.

Need to find out how to stop him scent marking all over the house.

HELP!!!

What are you using to clean up after he has marked? You need one of the special enzymatic cleaners to remove the smell.

What toilet training are you doing?

Is he neutered? Scent marking is the one behaviour that neutering reliably improves.

Hey there. Got the cleaner. He's neutered. Gonna go right back to the toilet training as if he was a pup - he is about 2yrs old and was toilet trained when we got him. Apart from this. Thought it was a new house new smells new environment but it hasn't settled.

I would vet check first.

Simple Solution is the only one of the special cleaners that seems to actually work. (My second dog nervous and excited wee'd a lot as a pup and it made my first dog (entire male) want to scentmark and I tried a few of the different cleaners).

As you're a new home for the dog it's worth going back to house training him like you would an untrained puppy.
