Puppy Pooping in the car

The puppy has been in the car 3 times now and twice he has pooped everywhere I had only gone 5 mins and he just let's it go all over the seat. has in a harness.
He's only 10.weeks old but thought I would get him used to it with a few small journeys. is this common?

It can be nerves while they’re getting used to it. One of ours did it too.

might be a nervous tummy, can you crate him, put pads down and a he can wear a puppy pad.

Sounds like nervous tummy or car sickness.

I put a rigid dog bed with a small folded duvet in the back seats footwell of my car when dog was a puppy. Identical bed and duvet in the living room so she felt at home in both.
