Messy drinker and slippery floors

I’m sure there must be a simple solution to this that I’m missing. I’ve just slipped over (again) on a small puddle left on the tiled floor (carrying empty plates, thankfully not my dinner), left from DDogs drippy drinking habits.
How to avoid the puddles? Or do I just need to think about mopping them every time?

Mine isn't drippy at all but DP's ......
He said this weekend that he'd read somewhere that putting their water in a bucket helps (it's a Great Dane so well able to drink out of a bucket) but it doesn't seem to have made much difference, and it keeps drinking my dogs water as well and my dog can't get into the bucket to drink.
Better in summer when we can leave the water outside.
