10 year old with Cushing disease now having seizures

Hi all.

My mum has a 10 year old bichon frise who was last year diagnosed with Cushings disease.

Since then he's lost a huge amount of weight. Two days ago he had a seizure in the night, and last night he had 3 plus another this morning. We've seen the vets who referred him for an MRI in Newmarket, which was going to be Tuesday, but after the seizures overnight and this morning they've got him in for an emergency scan.

I'm guessing there is a tumour in his brain now, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience or advice going forwards?

My mum is absolute beside herself - since my Dad left she's been on her own apart from her little friend and it's devastating watching her trying to work out what to do next. I've done some reading up on it, but real life experiences always seem to hold up a bit better as reading about seizures seem to be general. Is this it for him? He's deteriorated so much recently I can't help but think it is, despite him eating and blood tests being fine. I'm trying to work out how to prepare and support her when it does happen and I'm at a loss.

Thanks in advance x

I know this has had no replies but wanted to just say we've sadly had to have our little boy put to sleep this morning. The seizures were caused by a massive brain tumour that was probably cancerous and after the MRI he didn't come round from the anaesthetic so we took the sad decision to let him go.

I’m sorry my ddog had Cushings then a suspected brain tumour and the meds for one couldn’t help the other. So tragic your poor mum.
