Stupid pug has eaten half a jar of sweets (no choc or xylitol) and thrown up on the rug and my bed. I'm guessing don't feed him and just give water? Confused

My lab puppy ate a full family size bag of milky bar buttons! Was absolutely fine and just had the shits once the next day! Luckily she's not been interested in anything inedible so far!
