Brand new retired greyhound!

So yesterday we brought our new adopted greyhound home. She’s absolutely lovely, good with the kids, no accidents in the house and perfectly well behaved with our grumpy elderly cat. What shall I look out for as she seems a bit too perfect! She’s 3 btw and retired from racing in December so has never lived in a house before.

She is on best behaviour and settling in, so she might not steal food yet. We have lurchers and they aren't so big- but they are incredibly long when they want to reach up and grab food. They are quite good at opening packets too. Blocks of cheese and whole bags of treats have completely disappeared....

The mad 5 minutes seems to be a common thing - especially in the evening.

Sam’s a good boy and does take a telling to leave food alone.

HOWEVER given any chance he will swipe something if you’re not paying attention.

@beccy11 I love Salukis. He's a beauty.

I can remember having a tug of war with a french stick with our first grey, he swiped it from the bag of shopping I'd stupidly left on the floor 🙈.

I love their little mouse teeth! She’s settling in really well, but scared of going for a walk, but altogether lovely :)
