As I am bored and dreaming of the day I finally move into my own house and can get my own dog, I thought I would start a thread where you lovely lot can come and 'sell' your dog to me Grin what's great about them?! Why is that breed the best?!

Roll up, roll up and put your pooch pictures up with their redeeming qualities!

Here is my smiley boy Mason the staffie. He's 10 years old, is very cuddly and still sits on you like he did when he was 12 weeks Grin he loves a treat, but is selectively ignorant when it comes to recall Hmm

Sophie is a Chinese Crested Powderpuff, three years old. She's not quite right in the head, and thinks she's a guard dog! She doesn't like walks - she goes and hides when she sees me get the collar and lead ready. She's much loved though!

Our Whoppet....demanding, headstrong, sneaky- hilarious, clever, loyal.

Lover of squirrels, sofa's & snoozing.

We love her.

JaretsGirlfren · 05/03/2019 13:49

She’s very noisy and farty. Eats a lot, but she’s a real clown and very loving.

Little darling boy (4 months old here, now turning one next week!) is a Cane Corso.

According to some internet descriptions, Cane Corsos will not show affection or love.

I laughed.

Baby loves best to sit on your lap - he is 55kg but thinks he is tiny. Last week he was squeaking pitifully in the morning because I was on the bed and he wasn't. So I sat on the floor and he rolled over for belly rubs and lay on my lap. He loves to be RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE, and to curl up to snuggle you.

He is the most darling boy. He cries if he's on his own for two seconds, he tells off his reflection in the window, he snores louder than any dog I have heard, he runs straight to me if he's getting told off, he LOVES playing tug-of-war and eating plastic bottles, he thinks sitting down expectantly means he should get whatever treat it is you have, and he melts my heart.

This Charles McFuzzybutt (Charlie).

He came to us from a reputable rescue aged around 18 months. He's about 9 now and has never put a paw wrong. He's intuitive, sensitive, gentle and unfailingly obedient and he can be taken anywhere and be trusted to behave beautifully.

He welcomed a visiting cat into our house with interest and concern, but no aggression and we've sat together and watched a little vole scurry around in the garden undisturbed. He finds chickens and sheep quite scary, so tries not to make eye contact with them.

Obviously, he's also the most beautiful collie ever.

I MUST have him.

Did I mention the moulting though? I could knit my own baby collie every few days.

Other than that, no you can't - he's all mine!

(similar dogs are available in reputable rescues though, he was from Friends of the Animals RCT who rehome across the country)
