Does anyone cook for their dogs?!

I know this is a strange question but I am completely overresearching what is best for dogs ahead of getting our first , and watched quite a convincing video about dog health and concern about even very good dry foods. I also don’t like the idea of raw as it might be fine for the dog but the bacteria might be less good for our DC or us?
So I wondered whether could combine dry food (as I don’t have unlimited time and if we ever travel it would be useful to have her used to it still) with cooking scraps from our butcher and adding leftover veg but I feel worried about it as have no idea what is best. Could I add tinned sardines? Egg? I just want to include some healthy foods that aren’t processed / typical pet food . Or do feel free to tell me I’m being too precious as feel back to being a first time parent especially after reading how many dogs get cancer and shouldn’t eat rice etc as not natural for them...?

Ddogs have time the first ddog, been eating fox cack, rolling in it, raiding maggoty rotting rubbish from bins, drag half eaten raw marrow bones around, lick their arses when noones looking (and when they are), as well as genitals, eating dcat cack, bird cack, in fact any muck they can get into they will, and they stick their noses (faces, jowls) in gutters, the corner of gardens, dead birds, and goodness only knows what, cow cack, all of it. That's ddogs, they are bacteria ridden! We handle raw meat, ddogs digestive juices break down whatever they clean of themselves. I know of breeders who have fed all their ddogs and litters on raw food for over 30 yrs, and raised a healthy family! I have no idea how theyre not dead

Does anyone disinfect their ddogs feet after they've walked on the filthy bacteria ridden pavements, gutters, parasite ridden grass, walked through bacteria laden muddy puddles.... I know I don't..again how are we still alive? Its beyond me to know.

Do find out what the breeder feeds and get advice from them.
I feed raw. I have two kids and am immunocompromised due to medicine I’m prescribed. Good hygiene eliminates risk. Wash hands and bowl properly and best to avoid letting the dog lick all round your mouth!

Forgot to add my concern would be nutrient levels etc if using a “complete” food and adding other stuff to it. Might throw off ratios. But then I’m a newbie dog owner!
