Dog barking At 4am

Hi

I've recently rehomed a 10yo lab who wAs just left in a house 24/7 on his own.

I live on a small holding with 3 other dogs who I've had from puppies. They have an outside life, barns and dog house they sleep in.

The rehomed dog has started to bark constantly at 4am. He does sometimes stay outside with the others but he usually sleeps inside.

I let him out for a wee and he then doesn't want to come back in and within the hour he's barking. I let him in and he barks to be let out.

apart from being up since 4am I've got a splitting headache from him constantly bRking.

Please help.

Does something make a noise at 4am - is it possible, for instance, that he's hearing foxes?

Nope nothing like that my others are saints, he's just a dick 😂

He's just unsettled - it's a new house and new environment after all.

I've had him since last summer now, June time I think.

He only does it at certain times... oh I don't know. I've asked him but he just looks at me with his dopey eyes and I can't help but love him.

Could he have a bit of dementia? Bit early maybe but my old retriever started barking at nighttime around 13. Vet gave him some meds which did help.
