What kibble do you all feed?

Just that really.

We get our new pup soon, I plan on feeding half raw and then a meal of kibble too, something that doesn’t break the bank.

I had a look at step up to naturals from pets at home, anyone used this?

Thanks in advance :)

Watcher which foods would you advise not to combine?

@Orcagirl ,it's not the best no & I wouldn't recommend with raw .

Cold pressed is undoubtedly better than most but ,read up on how ingredients are processed before they are put together ...some brands have ingredients that are processed at a much higher temperature than admitted to on the packet . Another example of clever marketing Wink

Thankyou.

I think I’m gonna go with platinum (cold pressed) or millies wolfheart.

Orca ,I'll try & be brief & this is my opinion personally .
I wouldn't feed raw with wet food or a food with a high amount of carbs especially if meat content is lower than 70%.
No rice ,grain ,additives, fillers or meat meal etc.

Good quality ,high meat content foods need weighing out to as the balance needs to be right .
That's a nightmare with wet plus there are very few I'd trust !

I normally use Millies Turkey & veg or countryside mix as I've 4 dogs & one is sensitive but this suits them all.

In the last few years since Millies arrived, there have been a lot of foods that are similar quality but so many contain chicken which one of mine can't have .
A lot use "meat meal " which can mean anything, yuck !

That's why I think people should read up as much as they can ,even if only on All about Dog food Uk ,which is a brilliant site & has a lot more info than the ratings of food.

The main advice I'd give is to research ,go for as natural a food as possible. Also go through each brand & their ingredients..learn what they are,why they are added & their effects.

The dog food industry has changed a lot in the last 7-8 years ,I am still waiting for cat food to follow suit !

Burns lamb alert - seems to suit him and it's vat free as designed for guide dogs. We do give sachets of winalot or pedigree chum as a treat sometimes or just table scraps but just dry most days

GrimDamnFanjo · 07/01/2019 07:36

We use Guru which is cold pressed

Orcagirl · 07/01/2019 09:21

Thankyou watcher Smile

Will defo invest in a higher meat content to complement the raw.
