questions about Coton De Tulears or ASd Labradoodle and Aspergers

Hello all.
I've been looking at a particular breed of dog (the coton de tulear) having first heard about it on here. We are looking for a smallish hypo allergenic family pet and I think these dogs sounds gorgeous.
I have yet to meet one in person, but hope to soon. I just wanted to ask if anyone here has one, has come across one, and has any experience with high functioning autism and anxiety.

We had also looked at the ASD Labradoodle which I know are bred as therapy dogs but I fear just a bit too big for us....but I'd love to hear any experience of either breed in a family.

Thanks so much

We have a miniature schnauzer puppy and my daughter has ASD and my husband has asthma bought on by allergies.

We asked the breeder for the calmest puppy and she is a wonder. She is such an amazing dog. Clever so trains quickly,’affectionate without being needy. She loves children and will sit in front of them and wait to be stroked she doesn’t jump at them (but will with adults) and plays with my son but is calm with my daughter. I know I am biased but I think they are the best dogs.

I’m a big dog person, but thought if I ever got a small dog it would be a Coton. I have spoken to a few owners. They are plucky, unafraid of bigger dogs, very much love to be with their person, so can have separation anxiety if left. Good, friendly temperament, clever and like to please.
