She napped next to Wesleydale crumbs on the sofa for 4 hours 😱😱😱😱

Mine this morning went out for a pee and then climbed back into bed with DP and stared at me until I turned off the light and closed the door instead of pattering around the fridge where theu know there is some turkey.

Christmas Eve DS took him for 8 mile hike. We had some friends round in the afternoon and after greeting them very (over) enthusiastically we shut him in DS's room where after barking only twice, he curled up in his basket and slept! Being quiet/ sleeping when there is some thing else going on is unheard of!

There's a reason why 'dog tired' is a common expression, isn't there?

Mine tries so hard not to sleep, lies upright, in the middle of everyone, blinking away until her head flops down! Think she doesn't want to miss any action. Managed to capture her doing this at the bottom of a family snap

Glad to see this thread. We were starting to wonder if there was something wrong with our dog the past couple of days! Now I think it’s kust the Christmas mayhem. She seems to enjoy sleeping quite a lot the past couple of days. When we bring her out she of course enjoys a big run around, playing ball etc. And the kids have been home and playing w her at home. So she must have gotten zonked out! But of course not too zonked out - as she woke me 4am, opening baby gate to come upstairs and alert me to a noise she heard (some animal outside make strange noises) and she wanted to go outside to investigate lol.

Turkey is reputed to have soporific qualities.

The first school holidays After bringing DDog home she was on her knees. Her usual routine of up at 7am then sleep 8.30 until 3.20 was trashed as she was too nosey to nap at all.

I think she cheered when we all went back to work/school
