Old dog going senile

We rescued our little collie/terrier cross 6 years ago when they estimated her to be around 8 years old, making her around 14 now. Over the last few months I've noticed her behaviour has changed, barking more for no reason, very clingy, barks like mad when I get home and wants me to fuss her non stop, begging for food and generally seems more agitated and anxious. She's always been a bit yappy at the door and when I get home but I definitely noticed she's got more intense the past few months. Nothing at home has changed for her, she's not left alone for more than a few hours, walked twice a day and seems in good physical health.

I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do to make her more settled? Are these signs of doggy dementia? Any advice appreciated. She's due her vaccinations at the vets in the new year so I will mention it but wondered if anybody had any experience or advice.
