Puppy poops

Hi! My almost 12 week old pup has been on James wellbeloved puppy food since we got him at 8 weeks (wouldn’t touch the raw food the breeders had given him)

His poops have always been soft - vet says he’s fine (no medical issues) and some food just doesn’t agree with them as much as others.

Said to wait another week and if no better try another puppy food. We are choosing natural food - anybody have any success with other puppy foods to firm their poop up?!

Thanks!

I think it's an individual thing as to what will suit your dog.

Look on allaboutdogfood.co.uk to compare brands, quality and price. Perhaps order some smaller amounts and trial them out to see what suits your puppy.

Are you sure it's not down to overfeeding?

Thanks @BiteyShark I will
have a look at that site.

@othgraph I don’t think so - we are feeding him less than than the packet says?

If you're having to stick to it for another week, then it might be an idea to lessen the amount a bit more just to be sure. Our pup is on barking heads and his poops are for the most part solid unless we overfeed (or new treats). I do give him a bit of pumpkin as well.
