Passed away suddenly this morning after a short illness. We will miss you so much, Buster-boy, you were just the best dog.

Elliss2018 · 02/11/2018 17:07

So sorry to hear that, big hugs. He's a beautiful boy ❤️

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 02/11/2018 17:09

Thank you. He died in the car in the way to the vets, so we didn't even get a last cuddle.

Staringcoat · 02/11/2018 18:28

Oh bless him. Sorry for your loss. He had a lovely smile. I hope you can take some comfort from the fact he was with you in his final moments op.

RTFT · 02/11/2018 18:32

Sorry to hear that, beautiful boy

TwitterQueen1 · 02/11/2018 18:34

So very sorry. I've been there. It's just so desperately sad - for us, not them. You gave him a lovely life. He gave you unending, unqualified love. Win / win. Flowers

Staringcoat · 02/11/2018 18:51

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see your second post. I'm sure you did everything you possibly could op Flowers

BiteyShark · 02/11/2018 18:53

I think they 'know' when you are trying to help them. He would also know he was well loved Flowers

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 02/11/2018 19:00

Thank you all again. I don't think it's really hit us he's gone, it was so sudden, and he seemed so happy and healthy until this week.

He had the loveliest, most gentle nature of any dog - or person! - I've ever known. Everyone who met him loved him - even people who didn't normally like dogs. He was a gentleman - never jumped up or got boisterous, just stood there grinning, tail a blur, till he got some love.

Other dogs loved him too, he had so many doggy pals. And he was the "best friend" of every child in the neighbourhood. There'll be more than just us missing him tonight.

So so sorry. Smiley dogs are just the best. We lost our smiley girl this time last year. It's so difficult. Our new smiley girl ( seven year old rescue) is a joy and a love. But no dog ever takes the place of our old dog. New dogs just find another place in our hearts to inhabit. Much love xx

ScreamingValenta · 02/11/2018 19:07

Flowers I'm so sorry, OP. I hope in time you will be able to take comfort from the fact he was happy and healthy until the very end.

Eatmycheese · 02/11/2018 19:16

So sorry for your loss.

If ever I saw a dog that suited his name it was Buster. He looked full of fun and a great character.
He also looks as though he knew how loved he was. And always will be.
💐

MimsyBorogroves · 02/11/2018 19:21

I'm so sorry. He is my favourite kind of dog. They are so full of character, aren't they?

You gave him a wonderful life.

fleshmarketclose · 02/11/2018 19:23

So sorry to read this. Run free dear Buster and know you were loved.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 02/11/2018 19:27

We lost our older staff, Poppy, a couple of years ago. They were like an old married couple, so I take comfort in the thought that they're together again.

Also my aunt died a couple of weeks ago. She was a dog person, so I think she'll look after them for us.

So sorry Sad. But Buster will leave a legacy, all those memories you have of him. We still talk about all our pets that have passed. They are part of a big picture and are never truly gone

Queenofthedrivensnow · 02/11/2018 22:11

Oh he's lovely! So sorry op
