Fleas- help!

My border collie cross is ten years old, we’ve always used the spot on treatment with no cases of fleas. When I suspected I took her to the vet and she’s had a tablet, will continue with those instead of spot on.

Onto the house;
We bought two huge aerosols of frontline and I’ve vacuumed and sprayed all carpets on the floors where the dog goes. I’ve binned one of her beds and vacuumed and sprayed the other. I’ve vacuumed and sprayed all soft furnishings and changed all the beds.
What’s next?
Had anyone used the smoke bomb thingys? Do they work? Do I need them or have I done enough?

I’ve also shampooed the dog twice with flea shampoo

How do I know if we’re clear? I didn’t see any around the house so if I comb the dog regularly and she stays clear are we out of the woods? Can you tell I’m freaked out?!

Yes
Yes
Yes, No

How do I know if we’re clear?
Get your husband to walk about in shorts with bare legs and feet a couple of times a day. Not sure if this works with dog fleas, but it definitely works with cat fleas.

If you've found more than just a hitchhiker then smoke bombing is the most effective treatment of the house and soft furnishings.

Treat the whole house and car, not just where the dog goes. If you've used s prescription flea treatment from the vet there's no need to bath. Daily vacuuming. You should be flea free within 2-4 weeks

If you are shampooing the dog a lot you will remove the frontline and not longer have effective flea control in the dog.

Can anyone recommend smoke bomb products? There’s so many in pets at home!

I've used "Fortefog P Midi" in the past with good effect, you can buy it on Amazon.
