Hydrotherapy

Does anyone's dog do hydrotherapy? We start tonight and I'm a bit nervous. Mainly do I give pain relief before or after??

How did it go NewYoiker? I didn't see this earlier as my dog goes weekly for hydrotherapy, a mixture of pool and treadmill therapy. It has done wonders for her arthritis and muscle tone.

Glad it went well! It is a bit of a shock for them, especially if they aren't water lovers. Hope it helps him like it has my girl.

Our elderly terrier has been having hydrotherapy (treadmill) for a while now - it has really, really helped.

My dog’s having hydrotherapy at the moment to help build up his muscles after surgery. So far he’s been on the water treadmill but next session is going to be a mixture of treadmill and pool. He’s very toy oriented so as long as he’s got a squeaky ball to play with he’s perfectly happy trotting along on the treadmill and it has really helped improve his stamina. He adores swimming so I’m looking forward to seeing him in the pool
