I am lucky enough to be going to view a beautiful 3 year old Shih Tzu / terrier cross from an animal rescue charity tomorrow. My previous dog who sadly died 2 years ago was a working type English Springer Spaniel so I am inexperienced with smaller/toy dog breeds.
She has had a bit of a rough time and is currently receiving treatment for a nasty flea allergy and she has some dental issues with her back teeth.
I am thinking a hypoallergenic diet rich in protein and omega 3 & 6 would be best and with her dental issues I'm not sure if dry food will be suitable for her. Does anyone have any advice as the best food that may suit her needs please?
Any other tips regarding the breed would also be useful - it is thought that she is 3/4 Shih Tzu 1/4 Wheaten Terrier.
