Puppy biting driving me insane

Hi all, I've recently welcomed home a mini dachshund puppy. She's currently 10 weeks old and is very clever, she's mostly house trained already and doesn't whine at night. However her biting is really problematic - I can't really stroke her as she goes to mouth my hands, she continually jumps up and bites at clothing and ankles/shins etc. She hasn't been able to go out for walks yet as we've been waiting for her vaccinations to be all completed... Will her behavior improve with time/outdoor exercise or do I need to be doing something specific? I've been doing the yelping and time out routine for 2 weeks with no success whatsoever. Thanks!

I know what you mean we have a 15 weeks old cocker spaniel - he has just been removed somewhere quiet as we speak! We ignore him replace with something more suitable than a foot ! I am feeling encouraged that it might improve around 20 weeks! This is our little monster!

Hi, I was wondering what you would do if you went to ignore your puppy and they started barking/ growling at you and going for your pants or feet? I have a 10 week old German Shepherd puppy and I’m at my wits end with her biting and sass lol I just put her in the crate/ pen area when I can’t handle it anymore! I have been thinking maybe I’m not cut out for a German Shepard puppy and I should try to rehome her while she is still a puppy but I also don’t want to give up. She also hates to be held and tries to but me (I have to carry her down our deck stairs all the time) but doesn’t mind being pet and is very sweet when she is tired or wakes up from a nap but still is not cuddly at all! She also knows sit, stay, come and down. I just feel like I’m in way over my head with her biting and attitude. Also she has tons or different toys and I always freeze kongs and give them to her and She loves ice cubes. This is my first puppy as an adult. I had a German Shepherd as a childhood dog and he was wonderful but I also did not train him! Our last big dog in our family was a black lab and she was a sweetheart! I’m just worried this puppies biting will get aggressive and I’m messing her up, I’ve had so many people tell me to do so many different things, I just want to do something that actually works but won’t make her aggressive!
Thank you

I am hoping that as this thread was from 2018, all your puppies grew into lovely, well behaved dogs? I recently got a puppy... she's sweet but has moments of madness when my little cousin comes over to play, gets her over excited. Last time I had a puppy i was 18! I definitely don't remember it being like this! The constant biting, the pulling... ! I am sure it will pass with time (she's 8 weeks... so I have a long way to go!) Hope you all managed to have wonderful dogs in the end.
