Hand Stripping

Does anyone have a wire haired terrier they have hand stripped and can recommend someone in the NW of England? I’m really struggling to find someone to do it properly after a few bad experiences with groomers!

The last groomer I took him to bathed him afterwards and he had a awful skin reaction which cost me a lot of money at the vets to sort so as you can imagine I am quite wary about his next groom!!

We had the same experience with the skin irritation at Pets at Home groomers so don't try there! (didn't need to go to the vets though)

Have a chat with the breed association, they often have a list of tried and tested groomers.
I have just spent the evening stripping mine, it’s not as hard as all that especially if your not aiming at show standards. It’s a great way to bond with your dog too.

Join the group 'border terrier owners club' in Facebook they can help. I found a good groomer near me from them
