Dog friendly holiday accommodation

So far, we've only found accommodation that accepts dogs but owners specify dogs must not be left in the house alone (even in crates).

Does anyone know accommodation in Devon/Cornwall or Dorset that is less strict (happy to leave them in crates for a couple of hours).

Sorry op can't help on best place to stay but just want to say I understand.
We have booked a camper in October so we can take our staffy boy with us but even that wasn't easy as some campsites that we wanted to stay on wouldn't allow bull breeds 🙄
Have finally booked a lovely campsite in Kent which welcomes any breeds .

I’ve only ever found one that doesn’t mind a dog being left and that was in the Lake District. The last 2 cottages we were at, we did leave although the rules were not to. We had covered all sofas with our fleece covers and he used to be alone for a couple of hours. I was a bit paranoid about the key holder, or women reporting us but it was all fine.

One a 2wk holiday we did use local doggy day care so we go to a couple of non dog friendly beaches etc.

I did once see dog friendly farm accommodation that included doggy day care - I think it was in the SW.

Have you tried www.tregongeeves.co.uk in Cornwall?

Lovely place and most cottages accept dogs. Worth giving them a call as they have a dog themselves so sure that wouldn't be a problem.
