Curly haired retriever?

Our dearest darling dog died about a month.
Whilst still mourning, there's a huge hole in our home. I'd like another retriever type dog, and wondered if anyone knows anything about curly haired retrievers?

Do you mean the curly coated retriever? I haven't owned one but the ones I know have a lovely nature, they are intelligent and easy to breed. They are a rare breed so may be difficult to get a puppy within a short time frame. I own a duck tolling retriever and it took over a years wait to get her!

Have a look at the breed club website and contact them to see if they have a list of breeders. Also going to a championship dog show on gundog day is a good chance to see dogs and meet breeders.

Yes I do! I have been in touch with one breeder in my region and am cruising my fingers.
Nice description you give - an extra keen now!

That's great! I meant easy to train not easy to breed haha, good luck with your search :)

Chesapeake bay retrievers and Irish water spaniels are also curly retrievers that might suit. :)
