Parvo and foxes

We get our first ever pup in a week!

We have quite a big garden and until now we have encouraged wildlife. We definitely have a few foxes that come in most nights.

I’m worried that the pup will pick up parvo from a fox that’s been on the garden.
I will obviously check there’s no fox poo about and I’m planning to section off a part of the garden just for the dog until he’s a bit more robust. But the foxes won’t knownits out of bounds!

Also I f foxes have been on the grass recently can they pass it on still? Is it just from their poo?

I read somewhere about bleaching the grass but surely that’s overkill? Not very environmentally friendly! 😕

I would section off a part of the garden and clean it with jeyes fluid every morning, but I’m very cautious Grin

Down - that’s usually me. Especially in my house.
Just never thought of disinfecting the garden!

Does it not kill the grass?

That may be something you have to get used to with a small puppy - while they're toilet training they pee and poo little and often, unless you're right on top of it you probably will have patches of dead grass for a bit!
