So disappointed!!

Just out the shower I hid in the pantry intending to jump out on dh ( long day, fancied a laugh!), then decided to stay hidden and see if he chatted to the ddogs at all!!
So disappointed he didn't say a word!!
Do you ddog owners chat to your pooches in private??
I have full on conversations with mine!
Maybe I am just odd??!!

I chat to mine both in private and public

Even my dad (who pretends to hate animals and pretends to think both my two dogs and my bro's dog are just a nuisance) talks to the dogs, when he thinks no-one is listening! He's a right soppy so-and-so with them.

Used to love having chats with mine! Full blown conversations. Also with the degu!

I find myself trying to reason with mine, like I do with my preschooler I think the talking helps with the relationship, even if doggo didn't agree that it was 'maybe enough barking for now'

I talk and sing to my hounds all the time. So does DH, when he thinks I'm not listening

I talk to mine, he cocks his head like he is listening. He is probably think "that old bat is rambling on again!"

Yeah i chat to my dogs. I have two way conversations with them. Either filling in the gaps or responding appropriately to whatever they have "said" to me. I do this with the animals i work with (i call it bullshit soothing!) and chat a load of crap to them about my day.

That said i dont constantly talk to them. There's room for comfortable silence in any relationship!

I often talk to our young Lab when we are sitting together, and she looks up at me with big soppy eyes and sometimes nuzzles too...❤
