I have a gorgeous 15yr old lab who is still very active (not so much in this heat but loves her walks once it’s dark/early mornings). She’s gone deaf in the last year and in recent months she’s started to raid bins/bags/anything she can get into when left. I’ve put this down to senility as she was always very well behaved and nothing has changed to cause her to be anxious etc. We very rarely leave her for long - at the most a couple of hours. During the day she goes to either MIL or my uncle so has company.

I’m due a first child in November and am wondering if there is anything I should be doing to make this transition easier for her? She’s a rescue, we’re her 4th home but we’ve had her since she was 6yrs old. We lived for a few years with my sister and her daughter so she’s used to young children and very good with them. I’m just keen to make sure she’s ok! I assume keeping her routine the same is important but is there anything else I should consider?
