Fleas.....

I took my eye off the ball and missed a couple of months of Advocate. Found fleas, and put advocate on yesterday lunchtime She is itching like crazy this morning, and I have just found a live flea. How long does it usually take for them to die? She has an appointment tent at the groomers today......

I think they kill the flea in around 24 hours but the problem is that the fleas will be in your house so they need to jump on the dog and bite to die. You will also have the issue of the flea eggs which will hatch later.

I think I have seen people suggest indorex for the house but I haven't used it myself.

I should have said you need to cancel the grooming appointment. They won't want to groom the dog with fleas so as soon as they see one I imagine they will stop as they risk contaminating their grooming shop and thus other dogs.
