Disclaimer : lighthearted.
Disclaimer : DDog is normally very well behaved.

Bought DH some posh chocolate for fathers day, which he shared with us. For some reason it sent DDog into a frenzy, and she ended up climbing on me and trying to prize my mouth open with a paw so that she could get at it. Shock In fairness to her, she was very gentle (but persistent). Wondering now if she's learnt from all the times I've levered her mouth open to remove something 'delicious'.

Kids I think if she could speak, that's what she would have said. Grin

(BTW *prise, not prize. Thought it looked wrong when I wrote it Blush)

Brilliant Grin Mine edges towards food that we're eating and innocently touches it with her nose...oh dear, now we don't want it Hmm
Prising jaws is a step beyond!

KinkyAfro · 18/06/2018 07:25

Cheeky doggy, on a serious note she didn't eat any did she?

Ickyockycocky · 18/06/2018 07:27

Chocolate is poisonous for dogs, yet they still seem to love it.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 18/06/2018 18:45

Kinky no, but not for want of trying! I actually think she shocked herself a bit, as she's been exceptionally good today.

Oh for goodness sake, how can you misjudge your poor dog so cruelly. Isn't is obvious she's trying to save you. She clearly knows chocolate is poisonous and is trying to get it out of your mouth before you swallow the foul stuff; playing devil's advocate here.

DashOfMagic · 19/06/2018 07:33

Agree, she was clearly trying to stop you eating chocolate as everyone knows it’s harmful. You can expect the same with avocados, raisins etc.

Clever doggy Grin

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 19/06/2018 20:35

She seems to be sleeping. Wonder if it's safe to have another bit...

WHAT a clever helpful dog!

... Am eating cake very quietly. Think she's worn herself out saving my life.

SquirrelDog loves coffee (I do NOT feed my dog coffee! He got a taste for it when my friend's kid knocked a cup over & it dripped through a picnic table onto the floor). He has been known to come up to me when I'm drinking my morning coffee, whack the mug with his paw, and then happily lick the spillage off my clothes/ the sofa/ my iPad. The little git.

dudsville · 19/06/2018 22:05

That's so funny squirrel!

athingthateveryoneneeds · 19/06/2018 22:11

Chocolate is poisonous, obviously she was trying to save your life.

TropicPlunder · 20/06/2018 04:20
