Puppy won’t sleep!

My puppy is 11 weeks old and has been awake since 10am this morning without a single nap. She is charging round the lounge, biting and barking. I think she is over tired cos I have never seen her like this before. How do I get her to settle down??

Do you use a crate? I used to put mine in his crate, he would scratch his bed up and then collapse in a heap and sleep.

We used to shut our boisterous puppy in the kitchen when we knew she needed time to chill as she would never settle around us at that stage. It’s just the same as putting a lovely toddler to bed even though they are bouncing the walls!! The puppy needs to be taught this is time for you to be alone and calm down, esp when the nipping and boring starts

I have put her in her play pen. She cried for about a minute and then fell asleep. Now I am creeping round the house very quietly so she doesn’t wake up. It’s like having a baby again.

Yes I found they really do need telling its sleep time. In fact everytime I noticed his behaviour getting worse he got an enforced nap and he woke up a much nicer puppy

I had this problem a few days ago, Fluffypup wouldn’t sleep and when he doesn’t sleep he turns into a furry crocodile and a barking mad thing. I have to inforce his naps as well or he won’t settle. But yesterday he was a perfect angel, didn’t hear a peep out of him all day. He slept Loads and when he wasn’t asleep he was just on his bed with a chew. It was like he was a different dog to the day before. We’re off to the beach today so he should enjoy that.
