Human breastmilk

Our 11 week old pup seems to go nuts everytime I breastfeed my daughter. Normally I just shut the puppy in the kitchen while feeding my daughter, but my daughter is unwell and teething at the moment so is feeding throughout the day and I don't like shutting the puppy away that frequently

My daughter is older so I'm able to play with puppy with one hand while feeding, but it only distracts her for about 10 seconds then she's frantically jumping up at us. I've tried treats and peanut butter in a kong, but even that doesn't distract her.

Even with shutting her away when feeding, as soon as I let her out she's jumping up licking my top and trying to get to my breasts and trying to lick my breasts. She has been great at learning basic commands but if she smells breastmilk, all bets are off

Has anyone dealt with this before? I knew having a puppy and a young child would be difficult but this isn't exactly a problem I thought I would come across, please help!

I had this with a kitten. He kept trying to latch on to me. It was weird so I just used to shut him in another room when I was feeding. It did pass as he got older and perhaps forgot about feeding? Maybe you could try wiping your breasts with a baby wipe before you let him into the room again.

TBH I would not have a young animal and young baby together again for many reasons.

Thankyou I think i will just have to shut her away and have a wipe down. As you say, it's very off putting
